Moody Monay

It another moody Monday. People at work were a little quiet today. Why? The Packers lost. It's a little quiet around home too. There's always next season.
I just found out today I'm going to be a great aunt. My older sisters daughter just found out she's expecting. Yeah for her! They were planning on getting married in Oct.,but now it will be sooner I think. Her future husband and father of her child, says one down, one to go. He wants to have 6 or 7 kids. We'll see if he feels the same way when he's getting up at night to comfort the baby, change diapers and those 2am feedings.
I believe in small families. Two kids tops. There are so many people in the world now. This little planet can't handle so many humans.

Here's a pondering thought. What if all the things happening now a days are mother natures way of trying to get us to change and reduce our numbers. She will continue to do the most horrible things. Not just weather but things like more earth quacks, volcano's erupting, more sickness, unstable people hurting others for reasons unknown. I believe it's all connected. This little planet is the only home we have. So it's time to think farther into the future then just ourselves and how much money we can stuff in our pockets. Some day maybe money won't matter. Yeah right. We are a world based on who can have more then everyone else. You can't take it with you.

Jean Viken Cold Case

When I first started this blog one of the first things I wrote about was the murder of a local woman. She disappeared Jan 29th 2008 on one of the coldest days of that month. Her body was found I think in May of that year. She had been shot. Her van was found not long after she went missing up north. She was the mother of 4 young children and was going through a divorce at the time. Well here it is 2 years later and nothing has happened to try and find the person or persons responsible for her death. Why? I'm sure the whoever was responsible was really not that smart. It's as if the no one wants to get to the bottom of what really happened to her. Maybe she was not important enough. Maybe she was not connected to the right people.  I wonder what it would take to get more exposure to this cold case. Jean Viken update and other local things.

This past week Channel 7 has been doing stories on the cold case of Jean Viken.I did see one of them. In it the police said they know who did it but they are waiting for someone to come forward. But no matter what four young children will be without their mother for the rest of their lives because someone decided to end her life out of the meanness of their heart. Here is the story I found on the internet: Jean Viken's friends and family remember her as a loving mother of four young kids, a devoted daughter and sister. But nearly four years after her murder, a dark cloud hangs over Jean's memory, as they continue to search for answers. Pondering Japan's Earthquake

The earthquake in Japan is just another wake up call for us. It is so far the largest disaster we are dealing with right now. And with all those nuclear power plants having problems there, it will get a whole lot worse.  The earth is talking to us. Telling us the big change is upon us. Instead of fighting wars in other countries we should be preparing our people for this big change that will change our home, planet Earth, in a way that will make life allot more difficult to survive.  Japan had prepared for this kind of event to a point, but this kind of event to this degree is never fool proof.  My heart does go out to all those who are living through this right now.  I will give one prediction for the near future that some might say makes me sound like a crack pot but it is always a possibility.  Here it is: With all the things happening right now natural disasters and political unrest big changes are inevitable.
