Pondering Doubt

Image
Doubt: to waver in opinion: to suspect; to distrust; to question: uncertainty; question; perplexity. This is the definition from the New Handy Webster Dictionary copyright 1941 This is how we are living today. In a constant state of doubt. And it is getting worse everyday. Thanks to certain people always saying everything is fake, we have to hope for a better future. I for one am tired of the finger pointing and the blame game. Will it ever end? I'm trying to not let it be the focus of my day to day life but they make it really hard.  When you have doubt you have fear.  I keep trying to find better things to post but these issues always seem to take center stage.  I need some ideas to follow. I could try again to write a short story from time to time. I'm always thinking of ideas when I'm at work. But I don't have a chance to write there. And when I get home my focus is not there. I have house things to do and a dog to entertain. Or is it be entertained by the dog?  ...

How was your first month of 2018? Mine, had it's moments. Lets see if I can remember. Well, lets start by showing you some of the projects I've finished. There was one more that looked like a gingerbread house but I gave to someone for Christmas. These things took a while to do. The last two things I did do in January. So I've been a little busy. As for the rest of things going on well, the husband is still dealing with a broken foot that is not healing like it should because he does not sit still very well. It might get to the point very soon that he will end up with a cast on his foot. I'll try to keep you posted if I remember. The weather is typical Wisconsin weather. Right now, cold. below zero with wind chills maybe 20 below. There is snow. I'm not going to take a picture of the swing anymore. It doesn't pay. Last week or so I've been dealing with a cold. The cough is still lingering a little bit but it is getting bet...

Well, here we are the last month of this year. Where did the year go?  Last month was a very interesting one for our future.  But before I start pondering a few things I want to share the picture I just took of the swing. For being the beginning of Dec. there is no snow on the ground. It's kind of sad. I'm use to seeing the white stuff on the ground. The grass is still green. None of the water is frozen either. We did have a little snow on the ground for the gun hunting season. But it's gone again. The husband did get two deer, a six point buck, which we donated and a doe which he gave to one of his brothers. We have enough meat in the freezer from the buck he got at the beginning of bow season. Here are two pictures of what the swing looked like for the last two years:  2015 2014 Less snow each year. Is this global warming or just a thing the planet is going through? Or like I say, the weather is a month behind itself. The planet is always cha...

Well another month has gone by. How was your month? For me personally, not to bad. I did decide to start letting my inner bitch come out from time to time when needed. I'm tired of always caving in to others and letting them do what they want even though my wants and needs are just as important as theirs. So watch out world here I come, ready or not. Let's see, how about the weather. This last month was either hot or very wet. Up north of here close to Ashland, a number of roads were washed out during one rain storm. Some of these roads will be awhile before they are fixed right. I just wonder what this month will bring. Will it continue or have a sudden change? I think there is a possibility we could have an early winter around here with colder temps then we had this last time. Bears are starting to hit some of the neighbors bird feeders. That's why I do not feed the birds in the summer or fall. I will put seed out after I know the bears are hopeful...

Another month has just breezed by for 2016.  Before I get into anything else I will show you a picture of the swing I just took. I've got some branches that I raked up from the yard that I put in the fire  pit. Now I just have to get the right time to light it. It was a little windy just now so it will have to wait till maybe this coming weekend.  As you can see the grass is green but there no leaves on the trees yet. Still waiting for the temps to warm up and stay warm. There is still a nip in the air. To compare here is what it looked like last year.    I guess it looks a lot the same. When it comes to this time of year it kind looks the same year to year. I just might not show you the differences during the summer  months and early fall. The only time you can really tell the difference from year to year is during the winter months. So I will not be showing you the swing for a while, unless there is a big change that happens dur...

I know it's been a whole month, again. It's kind of late in the day but I will first show you the swing. It looks darker because I painted it. Believe me it looks so much better in the backyard. I also did a project I would like to show you. And completed one that was not all the way done last time. It's just something that is just to be hung up somewhere. It has a new home, thanks to needing gifts for a bridle shower.  This is a doorstop/ I didn't have the grass and eggs in it the last time I showed you. I also has a new home. I was going to ponder a few things but I think what I'm going to do is this. Tomorrow morning I will try to get up early and do another post pondering some of the things that have been going on lately. You know the riots, and some of the local happenings. So if you can hold on till tomorrow I will try to give you something to ponder. So till tomorrow, Keep on pondering the pondering possibilities.

It's the first of the month again and time to show you the picture of the swing from this year. And here is the picture from last year. We did have more snow last year compared to this year. It's still cold  like it was last year. So I guess you can say march came in like a lion this year because we were getting snow flurries this morning. Not like they have been having south and east of here. Which I'm glad. In February it did not get above freezing the whole month. No thirties. Some twenties and more below zero temps then I like to see.  Two years in a row with the snow still covered with snow at this time of year is kind of depressing. I have plans once again of things I want to get done outside. I just hope I can and that the weather will be better then it was last year.   Enough of that, I did manage to get two more projects done. Here they are. Something that can be hung on a door. Maybe for the Forth Of July or if you are very patriotic,...

Well it's been over a year since I started recording pictures of my swing. Here is the picture of the swing on the first of February. Here is a picture of the swing last year. Last year at this time we had a lot more snow, as you can see. South of here a hundred miles or so it is snowing. South and East they are getting hit by a big storm. It may not be snowing here but it is cold and windy. This is the time of year it is easier to tell the differences in the years. I might also over time do somethings around the swing to help tell the different years. I have also completed a couple of projects. Here they are. This little guy is suppose to hang on a door knob. The husband said I could put magnets on it and put it on the fridge.  As you can see they are scarecrows and crows on a kind of wooden wreath. It should have a bow on it but right now I don't what color to put on. What do you think? As for things going on in my live, I've ...

Well I survived the last month, how about you?  Before I get into anything else in the world I'l show you the picture of this month swing. As you can see we have snow. Actually it did melt almost gone once but then it snowed again and we had the same amount. If you look close you can see what looks like tracks or little trails. Well, last night after dark, after the hunting season closed around here, there were around 15 deer in the yard and field. And they made this area a bucks only zone because we had such a hard winter last season. There are lots deer around here that survived last winter. Speaking of hunting season, the husband got a three point buck on Thanksgiving morning. Our freezer is almost full so we gave it to our youngest daughter. He could only get one deer this time. So far he has gotten one with the bow and one with the regular gun. Now if he wants he can try and get one with the muzzle loader. I know your wondering why he is going to try and get anot...
