I was going to post on May 1st the picture I took of the swing that day but time was not on my side that day. So here it is. Finally the snow is gone! Yeah!!! Now if it would only stop raining so things can dry up. The trees are starting to bud out so I'm hoping within the week leaves will start popping out. I like green things. I also finished another project. Want to see? It's another coaster set. There are two for each pattern. So there are eight. It would be perfect for that person you know that likes to sew. Well that's what I've been up lately.  So for things I've been pondering , well lets see where do I start. How about the weather. All that heavy rain they got in Florida this last week. Wow! Mother nature has really been doing a number on us lately. Anything and everything has been  happening in big ways.    Tornadoes in the middle of this country.    Flooding in Texas. We had frost the other day. Compared to last year that is a big change. Last year at this time I was able to wear shorts and tee shirts and still be hot. This year I'm still wearing long sleeve shirts and pants. Plus right now it's 43 degrees outside. We will be lucky to see 65, maybe. I could be wrong.  People want to say it's global warming, I say it's a natural thing the planet does all by itself. Plus we should be keeping track of earthquakes and erupting volcanoes. They can effect the weather more then people do. Not to say some of the things we are doing are not affecting a little bit. These are the top news stories that caught my eye this week. One is the shooting in Ohio. Another school shooting because someone was bullied. Now three young boys lives were cut short because of it. My heart goes out to the  families of these boys. As for the boy who did the shooting.....I've heard very little in the news about why he really did it. Like, he did not know these boys. Or were these boys just in the wrong place at the wrong time enjoying breakfast, and seeing happy friends was just something that he could not stand that morning. But I think he did know these boys and there was something they said or did that set him on this path. But it's still no excuse for doing what he did. Plus it sounds like he had a home life that was on the violent side. So in a way it's his families fault for what happened. I know that's a cruel statement. But when you grow up in a house where parents are always fighting in front of the kids, they start to act out at others in...

Watching the news lately and seeing all the destruction from the tornadoes is almost unbelievable. Such heart break. We in Wisconsin have not been without our damage too. This is a picture from the one that struck Merrill WI about a week before Easter. No one was killed but it is bad enough. The husband and I  were over in this area the day before it happened to an auction. That day was so cold I brought two different coats with me and my winter boots if my feet got cold, which they did. The next day was almost like getting thrown straight from winter into summer. The weather has been so strange around here I'm never sure what season it is anymore. Anyway, we had warning that this could happen, sever weather I mean. When the bad stuff started rolling in for some reason the wind here was calm, almost too calm.
