Truth?

Image
My pondering questions: If the truth is not the truth, then what is true? Is it the truth of one or the truth of many? And which truth is the truest true of the truth? I know it's been a while since I posted. I now have more time to post here so I might be here more often. It you want to know what I've been up to here is a cliff note version: We hiked a few times. Here are a few pictures from those hikes: We are done with the Chippewa Moraine Segment. Our hikes are not as long as last year because of the husbands ankle, the weather from time to time and our jobs. I'm not sure how much more we will be hiking this year. I do recommend hiking different trails when ever you get the chance. You never know what you'll see. I did do a plastic canvas project. This is something my son-in-law thought would be interesting to have. I offered to try and make one. Here it is:  He wants to put it in their bathroom.  If you don't know whe...

Well, September is gone. This year is just fling by.  It had it's up and downs but mostly uneventful.  One sad thing that happened was our dog , Fawn passed away. She will be greatly missed. As for animals in the house I still have a cat, Minnie. But I'm not sure how long she has. She is almost 16 years old. I thought she would have gone before the dog. But once she is gone, for the first time in my whole life I will not have some kind of animal in the house. But for now Minnie is enjoying me all to herself without a dog chasing her away from me.  I still animals outside. Plus all the wild life that likes to show up in the yard.  Well believe it or not I have finished a project: I know it's not Easter. But it was the next pattern in the book. The next one will be one that will fit in for  Thanksgiving. I should get it done. As for the rest of the month, not a lot of outstanding things happened. I keep trying to get myself to make litt...

It's almost hard to believe that two months have gone by. I don't know if it feels like time is going faster because I'm getting older or it things are just happening that much faster. The last month for me personally was just the same old same old. But I did learn a classmate of mine passed away. We were never friends. In fact, he was one of the first ones that made my school days very miserable. Looking back on way things turned out the way they did, I kind of wish things had been different between us. He had always been on my mind when he shouldn't have been. I think that if things had been different we could have been friends and the future would have been different for both of us. But dumb me missed a last chance to see him at our last class reunion back in 2015. Now I will forever live with that regret. If I could send  him a message now I would say: Peter Keuer: To the boy I knew,  and to the man I wish I had known, you will forever be in my...

January 2017

We can finally say goodbye to 2016. This has been a year that I think most are glad to see end. So many almost unbelievable things happened. I don't think I have to list them, do I? I know I had a down feeling at the beginning of it and I guess I was right. 2017 for me I think will hold many good things. First I will become a grandma in June for the first time. Maybe that's why I feel it will be a good year.  Or maybe something else also will happen that will help me stay in high spirits. What it will be is any ones guess. As for what could happen in other things, well it will be a very eye opening year for many others. Things and people are never what they look like from a distance. Sometimes they are worse. Sometimes not so bad. I'm hoping common sense will be back in style. Lies, fake news, and half truths will not be focused on so much. To sensationalize someone else's pain to bring attention to you, is the quickest way to attra...

It's hard to believe it's the beginning of April already. How has your last month go? Mine was nothing much to talk about. Before I get into anything let me show you the swing. As you can see, no snow, at the moment I took this picture. But it has been snowing a little bit here and little bit there. It does not stay long, thank goodness. I just want it to dry up so we can start doing other things in outside. Here are pictures of the swing from the last two years. This was last year,2015 This was 2014, the year we didn't think winter would ever end. You just never know what the weather will like at this time from year to year. I'm thinking about stopping showing you pictures of the swing every month. During the summer it does not change very much. Each winter can be so different, that is the time to share a picture. But what I was thinking of doing is maybe just doing it 4 times a year. You know for the start of each season. Then you will s...

Another year is here. How was 2015 for you? Mine was really not to bad. My youngest daughter was married. The rest of the year was fairly calm for, compared to how a lot of people's lives. Before I get into any pondering's let me show you the swing from today. I was thinking about having the pit going when I took the picture but it was early and we had plans to go somewhere, which we did, so You'll just have to settle with a non fire pit burning kind of picture for the first of the year. Now here is the one from last year: Well we did have more snow last year. Now here is the project I did get done for Christmas: It's not from the book. My son-in-law saw something like it on "The Big Theory". So my daughter asked me if I could make one. It's a tissue cover. I guess it's something a geek or a fan of the Rubix  cube would like to have.   As for how my holidays were well, it could have been better. I had a bad attitude for th...

It's the beginning of another month and almost the end of another year. Where has the time gone?  Before I get into any pondering I'll share the latest picture of the swing. I took this after I got home from work. But it was sleeting at the time. Now here is what it looked like last year. It was sunnier and we had more snow last year.  This last month for me was uneventful for me. The husband did get one deer during the gun season. An eight pointer. Want to see? No he did not shoot it in the yard. He was in the woods back behind our place away. We never seen this fellow in the yard. Not even on the trail camera he sets up every once in awhile in the yard.  I wonder if Fred survived the season and if I'll see him again. Maybe next year I'll be calling him Stanley. I did manage to get one project finished. Just a little guy who can sit on a shelf.   Well I suppose you want to know what I'll be pondering. There are a lot of d...

It's the beginning of another month. October has come and gone. It's been an interesting month for many in different places. The weather around here has been on the warmish side. But we did have one day this last week where I awoke to snow covering the ground. But by the time I got out of work it was gone. The start of this week is going to be on the warm side for November. It's suppose to almost or around 60 degrees at the beginning of the week. Before I forget I will show you the picture of the swing I just took. The grass for this time of year around here is still green. Leaves are off most of the trees which is the way it's suppose to be.  Now the way it looked last year. It was frosty last year at this time. So as you can see each year can be very different. Plus I think last year's picture was taken in the morning and this year was taken after three in the afternoon. Would you believe I actually got a plastic canvas project done. It...

I know I promised to post more often, sorry. I've been busier then I thought I would be. between my youngest daughter getting married and me getting a part in a play, I don't have too much time for other things. Plus my other blog, Dear Howard, a Fading History. Which I do post on twice a week. That's the main reason I think I don't post here more often. First let me show you the picture of the swing, which I just took.  Everything is nice and green and really growing nicely. Now here is the picture from last June. The grass was not as long last year and the dandelions were still around more then they are right now. I guess paining it really made a great difference. Now for the second thing I promised, a plastic canvas project.  Just a little thing that can hang on a door knob or just on a wall somewhere. I don't think I'll have an other project done by next time. Why you asked. well to tell you the truth I'm doing a littl...

Hello all!  I'm still here somewhere. First thing I'll show you is the picture of the swing I just took. No snow! yeah! It is also about 60 degrees right now. But it's suppose to be around the forties by Friday, again. Now last year at this time was a different story. Here's proof. I think I like this year's picture over last year. This winter had been a very mild one. I just wonder what kind of summer we will have. A wet cool one or a dry hot one. Last year was wet and cool.  I want one that is just right. Somewhere in the middle. Not to hot but not to cold. Not to wet but not to dry.  If only it was that simple to get the perfect weather whenever you wanted it. Oh well. We will just have to wait and see. I did finish one more project. Want to see?  It's about 31 inches long. You can hang it anywhere you want to greet your friends. I'm working on an other thing right now but it will be awhile before it's done. Hop...

I know it's been a month but I am still here. Here is the first of the month picture of the swing. I the weeds look like they are flatter then they were last month. The grass is still very green for this time of year because we have been getting a lot more rain then we usually get. At least it's not cold, yet.  The husband is trying to figure out exactly what kind of winter we will have this year. A lot of snow or not. Cold or mild. He has a few methods he goes by but this year he is not guessing. So I guess time will tell what Mother Nature has in store for us this year. My second batch of gnomes have been done for awhile and I remembered to take a picture of them. They look better then they did. I have one more plastic canvas project done. A welcome sign to hang on the door. I suppose your wondering what else I've up to. Well not to much. My youngest one thinks I should ponder things that are not so depressing. She is right. Right now I'm...

July 1

Image
I know it's been awhile since you heard from me. I am pleading, It's nice outside, O.K.  Being the first day of July here is the picture of the swing. I still plan to do something around it to make it look better. Right now I'm working on the front. But that is hard to do because it keeps raining. The husband said one time he was thinking of moving it someplace else in the yard. But what he says and what happens are two different things. Sometimes I have to threaten to do something before he does what he said he was going to do. I just got another project finished. It's the last coaster set. They are suppose to be Japanese Kimonos.  I just could not get in the mood to work on it very often. So there are no promises on when I will get the next thing done. But just keep checking in from time to time and see if I have anything done. Here are a few pictures of things that I saw lately. I try to take Fawn for a day on the days where it doe...
