It's hard to believe that June is gone. Half the year is gone. This year is just flying by for me. Well June was a kind of busy one. I became a Grandma for the first time. Her name is Lillian Rose. She was born on the 11th. The husband and I were in the room when she entered the world.  She weighed 7 lb 14 oz and was 19 inches long. I don't get to see her to often because they live over an hour away. We have been able to see her on the weekends though. She is growing like a weed and is very healthy. I'll tell you about her from time to time. Another thing we did this month was go hiking again. Here are a few of the pictures I took:  I'm just glad we did not meet the bear that made this track. Because of all the rain we have been getting a lot of places on the trail are very wet. The last hike we had a number of places we had to go around because of the mud and water. These sections of the trail are in a lower area so they of course are we...

Well another month has gone by. So far this year for me is just flying by. I have started my next big thing. The husband and I have started hiking the Ice Age Trail. For those of you who don't know what it is I'll tell you. It's a trail that goes through Wisconsin. It's over 1100 miles long. it's still a work in progress. There about 620 miles of it complete for hiking. The rest is connecting roads. It starts on the west side of the state by St. Croix Falls and ends up by Sturgeon Bay. For me I'm started in the middle close to home and I will work my way west. After I get the done I will come back to where we started and then start going east and south. and then north. It will take me years to do it because I can only do weekend day hikes right now, weather permitting that is. We have done a total of 5 hikes so far. Right now is a good time because it has not been hot or buggy so far but I think that is about to change. If we keep the pace we have...

It's almost hard to believe that two months have gone by. I don't know if it feels like time is going faster because I'm getting older or it things are just happening that much faster. The last month for me personally was just the same old same old. But I did learn a classmate of mine passed away. We were never friends. In fact, he was one of the first ones that made my school days very miserable. Looking back on way things turned out the way they did, I kind of wish things had been different between us. He had always been on my mind when he shouldn't have been. I think that if things had been different we could have been friends and the future would have been different for both of us. But dumb me missed a last chance to see him at our last class reunion back in 2015. Now I will forever live with that regret. If I could send  him a message now I would say: Peter Keuer: To the boy I knew,  and to the man I wish I had known, you will forever be in my...
