Ponder Pages

I know I really missed the first of the month. I could have written something a number of times. But when the thoughts came to me I was no where near a computer. First off I will say we have been hiking. So far we have done four hikes. Here are a few pics from those hikes:  Picture of the Chippewa River. Taken during the first hike.  This nest was right next to the trail. The mama was very near by. Three of the four hikes were over by Cornell area. The last picture was taken during our shortest hike going east of here. We officially finished Taylor county. When we go east again we will be starting in Lincoln county.   So that is one thing we have been doing lately. Only weather permitting of course.  One other thing is we have celebrated our granddaughters first birthday.  They made her, her own smash cake. She got a bath right away after that. Well, that was an interesting month. Most of the month I was kind of battling with a cold. It is finally letting me go from it's grasp of coughing and sniffling and blowing the nose. I hope this next month will be a healthier one. I hope everyone else is not having to deal with this cold or even flu. February for me was an uneventful one in other areas of my life. It can be good but then it can be very boring.  Work is a little busier then I like. There are hints that it is only going to be busier. I'm not looking forward to over time. I would say where I work but I won't. I will say it is a cheesy one. There is one customer that is wanting a lot from us and our company has, in my opinion, has over committed us for the workers we have. They try to hire more people through temp agencies but most of them never stick around very long.  I just hope someone in charge soon really sees the problem and solves it so the workers have more to their lives then work and very...

Well things around here for me are just the same old, same old boring humdrum things. The husband is still home getting better with his back. We are hoping that next month he can go back to work. Then I will have my nights to myself once again. But now I suppose I have to say something else about this last week from the world. So here goes.   Gun control.  What do I think? Well I think I might have said something before about this so I'll just say it this way. The things that I don't think are necessary are the assault guns and the clips that hold large amount of bullets.These are the ones I don't think we really need. Sure you could have one for protection and to feed your family, which is your right under the law. But if your intent is to harm someone just because you can, well then you need your head examined. Then I say, no guns for you. As if that would ever happen. If someone wants a gun there is always a way to get one.        As for violent v...

     By now everyone has heard about both of these events. So many innocent people died for reasons at this time no one really understands. So many little children assassinated in away no one could have ever imagined would ever have happened. My heart goes out to all the family, friends and the communities that are forever changed. Everyone wants to know why. Unfortunately we will never know the real reason why both of these individuals felt so driven to do what they did. I have not heard much about the shooter in Oregon. The only thing I heard mention at one time was he could have been rejected from serving in the military for some reason. Something happened that he turned dark just before he went on his shooting spree. Now the one in Connecticut, there is still allot of confusion on why he did what he did.
