Shaking up the world in more then one way

Image
I have a few things I want to ponder this weekend. Like that ferry that sank by South Korea. What a tragic thing to happen. All those young people lost. Boy does that captain have an awful lot of explaining to do. And to be one of the only ones to get on the only  life boat used, that does not look good for him. If he was not at the helm and left a lower ranked person there, what was his reason. Was he doing something he was not suppose to do? Or (here is where I get weird) was a plan from North Korea to do this? Attacking the South without looking like they were involved and just using the captain as a pawn in their nasty plan. Boy that sounds like it could have come from a movie.  If I had been on that boat I would have found a way to lead people off of it asp and no one would have been able to stop me. Life jackets on, head for a life boat should have been the rule. My heart does go out to all the people of South Korea. I wish I knew more about what Russia i...

What an interesting week that was

Image
This last week was more than likely the most active one for all so far this year. We all know what they were, but I'll recap. First the bombing in Boston. Three killed and many hurt. So many questions, so few answers, at first. The second, was the explosion in Texas.   At least 14 known dead and hundreds hurt. Once again so many questions and so few answers. Third it was Christmas here again. Don't believe me, here are some pictures to prove it. I think someone forgot to give Mother nature the message that we all should be having spring right now. The sad part is we are in for some more of this white stuff this week.  I think they might have to change the saying from "April showers bring May flowers" to "May showers might bring June flowers". The next thing was the killing and capture of the possible bombing suspects after shutting down a part of Boston for a whole day. I wonder if we will ever know all of the reasons ...

Trayvon, Earth Quakes and Survivor

Image
The shooting of Trayvon Martin was one that should have never happened. Do I think that the guy who shot him should be charged? Your darn right he should be. Whatever excuse he gives for doing it are not excepting in my book. If you are going to be a neighborhood watch person you should know everyone in your neighborhood. That means to meet them and to let them know who you are. That's what neighbors do. Get to know one another especially if you want to help protect one another. You don't have to get to know everything about everyone. You just need to know who each other is and be able to at least say hi to one another in passing. Simple right?  Why can't we do this simple act of kindness? Because, we are so wrapped up in ourselves and or are suspicious of one another. We are afraid to know anyone outside of our families or social groups. If I could start a movement it would be knowing who your neighbors are enough to at least say HI when you meet them on the street in ...

Waste of time and a waste of money?

Image
There are so many things out there that are a waste of time and money.  One thing I was thinking of is this Occupy Wall Street movement.  It was a good idea at first and it could have been but now the people who become over passionate about things and become violent are going to ruin it.  One step they have taken with getting people to take their money out of big banks and putting them in credit unions is a good start. Dealing with a bank has become so impersonal they want you to only deal with a computer.  When I was talking to someone the other day about this they said they thought most bankers are con artists. Finding ways to con people out of their money in the most uncaring ways. More for them, less for the average hard working person. It is more then just big banks that are trying to control things, it's corporations that are so big they no longer think of their employees as people but almost like slaves. But I say that without the average person they w...

Pondering, A whole lot of shaking going on

Image
Well, the East Coast was hit by a 5.8 earthquake.  But Colorado was also hit by a 5.2 earthquake. And Peru was hit by a 7.0 earthquake. These are just the biggest one that you hear about. I wonder who will next? I was wondering if this is normal activity. Well, it is. Earthquakes are happening all the time. Most you don't feel. Japan had a 6.3 one on the 19th. Point Mackezie, AK had a 1.5 today and Pinnacles  Cal Had a 1.9 today also. And yesterday there were 116 quakes ranging from 1.0 to 4.2. And that is just in the US alone. Now that is a whole lot of shaking. But now I guess most of the news attention will now turn to the hurricane. I wonder where that one will hit? All I know is, it's not here. Although, Mother Nature has been stirring things up around here in different ways. Like yesterday we had wind and about an inch of rain in a very short amount of time. And a tornado or two south of here a ways.  I think one man was killed. I guess no one is safe when Mother...

Pondering Japan's Earthquake

Image
The earthquake in Japan is just another wake up call for us. It is so far the largest disaster we are dealing with right now. And with all those nuclear power plants having problems there, it will get a whole lot worse.  The earth is talking to us. Telling us the big change is upon us. Instead of fighting wars in other countries we should be preparing our people for this big change that will change our home, planet Earth, in a way that will make life allot more difficult to survive.  Japan had prepared for this kind of event to a point, but this kind of event to this degree is never fool proof.  My heart does go out to all those who are living through this right now.  I will give one prediction for the near future that some might say makes me sound like a crack pot but it is always a possibility.  Here it is: With all the things happening right now natural disasters and political unrest big changes are inevitable. Governments will fall apart, America included....

Pondering Libya and other news

Image
Watching the news about all of the latest countries in the Middle East that are trying to make some huge changes in the governments the one leader that is trying to hold on to his role the hardest and in the worst wrong way is in Libya. The man needs to go. He is so out of touch with reality he needs to go now. Any one who says he wants to be a martyr when he is in the position that he is in, is really saying he wants to be assassinated. He does not have the nerve it takes to do it himself. If only he would just resign so many people would be spared. But instead he has hired loose cannons from other countries to do his dirty work. Killing his own people the way he is just proves he is out of his mind and or on drugs. Opening up his country to these loose cannons is also opening it up to other wrong people who will take full advantage of the craziness that will follow once he is gone one way or another. My heart goes out to all the people who live in the area. In other news, t...

The World is a shaken

The earthquake  in Hatti is something the world will not soon forget. My heart goes out to all the people that are there. There will be so much pain for so many for a very long time. I just hope people will be able to help each other and not try to take advantage of those in pain. I also hope the country will be able to bring itself around and not fall apart or be torn apart by those who have selfish motives. Time will tell. Rebuilding will take a very long time. I think it was about a week ago there was a quake  in northern California that was about a 6.5. There was damage but no one was hurt that I know of. What a difference .5  can make. Is it my imagination or has there been allot more shaken going on lately? Is the earth starting to go through a change? Oh, don't forget about the volcanoes that have been acting up. Maybe we should be more focused on the signs the earth is giving us and a little bit less on certain wars. I'm not a war person, what can I say. Lif...

The weekend thoughts

Another Saturday Morning. I'm writing this a little later in the morning then usual because for some reason everyone else was up at the same time I was. My oldest daughter, who just turned 23 yesterday, was still up. She's sleeping now and won't be up until 5 or 6 tonight. My husband got up when Fawn started barking and getting excited when the neighbors dog went running through the back yard. When she sees something in the yard that she thinks should not be there she becomes wild and will not listen to anyone to be quiet. She will running around the house barking, whining, growling and wanting outside so she can bark more. Then she will want inside so she can see on the other side of the house to see if she can see whatever got her so excited to begin with. Anyway my husband is sleeping on the couch right now and Fawn is sleeping in the chair. My other daughter is still sleeping or at least in her room. She did let Maggie out of her room this morning to add to the excitem...
