Pondering Common Sense

I just decided to ponder some of things I've seen on the news lately dealing with common sense. The first thing is about the interruption of Facebook. It made me laugh at how some people got so upset over not being able to get on to it. I do have a facebook account but I don't spend much time on it. I use to play like farmville but soon got bored with it because it got to demanding with the up keep. I have the real thing outside, in the real world. I post from time to time but I have no need to tell people what I'm doing and thinking every few hours. I save it all up for this blog.Maybe not all of it. Just when the need to write something becomes overpowering. Like now, do I have common sense? Another thing I saw was about a couple of girls fighting and one of the moms was there cheering her daughter on. It had been posted on U-tube.The mom has been charged with something. Right now I can't think of what the charges were. Anyway she made a statement about way she wa

The Great Chicken Debate of 2010 part 2

Well, I thought I would update you on the last great debate in my hometown about chickens.  After so much debate over the banning of chickens the city council had to put it to another vote because one member changed their mind. The vote ended up in favor of the chickens. YEAH!!!!!!!!! OK, I don't live in town now but, I did grow up there. I think that having a few chickens in town should not be a problem. One of the rules the council agreed to is that one property could have no more then four chickens. Which is within the limits I thought would be just right. Another is a five dollar fee per year to have the chickens, which is not to bad. No more then a dog. Then a few rule on where the area that the chickens are kept in, I see nothing wrong with that. Hopefully this a sign of good things to come.  Now that the Great Chicken debate is over I wonder what will be the next big problem that will be tackled.

Lookin' For Fame?

Lookin' for fame in all the wrong places. Lookin' for fame for all the wrong reasons. Lookin' for fame in all the wrong ways. This has been running through my head lately. Why? Because so many people are getting way to much attention for things that are really not worth it in the long run. Who are some of these people? Here is the top three that I see are going for the wrong kind of fame right now. The one at the top of the list is the pastor from Florida who is planning on burning some Korans on Saturday and he is encouraging others to do the same. The only thing he will accomplish is making it harder for all of our troops that are stationed around the world. He is also making it more unsafe for other Americans who are in other countries. Let me just say that this man does not speak for the majority of Americans. I would like to say that 99% disagree with him. He claims that if God tells him not to he won't. Will he get the sign he is looking for? Maybe
