Ponder Pages

Greeting all! This is what you get from Mother Nature when Easter falls on the 1st of April. MERRY EASTER! This is what April 1st looked like back in 2015. I didn't take a picture for the last couple of years but they did look similar to to this one. With all that snow on the ground my hiking season will be delayed. Well that and the husband just had surgery on his foot. So no hiking for him for a while. He wants to once the cast is off but I'm not sure if he will be able to as soon as he thinks he can. So I'm trying to line up a few partners to join me from time to time. I really didn't get much else done this month. I didn't work on any projects. I have been working some Saturdays so my weekends are shorter then I like them to be. For this time of year my work place has been busier then usual. I just hope it will settle down soon and I can go back to my regular 5 days a week.  With the husband home now 24/7 I have to help ta...

Happy April Fools Day to everyone! It's almost hard to believe that another month has gone by. Is it just me or is this year just flying by? My month was not to bad, for me personally that is. Let me think what to say.... I can show you the neighborhood peeping tom: This guy has been peeping in a number of different peoples basement windows this past month. I think it was part of their daily path. Morning and night, for awhile him and two other toms would come around. One would stop at the window and start banging on it. He sees his reflection and thinks it's another tom. He has put a number of holes in the screen. Dumb bird. I do have a female turkey in a pen in the back yard. You would think he would be over there trying to impress her. They just kind of look at her at move on. I do have one other animal story to tell you, but no pictures. Hello all!  I'm still here somewhere. First thing I'll show you is the picture of the swing I just took. No snow! yeah! It is also about 60 degrees right now. But it's suppose to be around the forties by Friday, again. Now last year at this time was a different story. Here's proof. I think I like this year's picture over last year. This winter had been a very mild one. I just wonder what kind of summer we will have. A wet cool one or a dry hot one. Last year was wet and cool.  I want one that is just right. Somewhere in the middle. Not to hot but not to cold. Not to wet but not to dry.  If only it was that simple to get the perfect weather whenever you wanted it. Oh well. We will just have to wait and see. I did finish one more project. Want to see?  It's about 31 inches long. You can hang it anywhere you want to greet your friends. I'm working on an other thing right now but it will be awhile before it's done. Hop...

I know it's been awhile since I wrote. I really have no good excuse. But with it being the first of the month it's time to share the picture of the swing. As you can see the snow is not as deep. The swing can swing freely. Walking out to take the picture the snow was half way up to the knee. It's a lot better then last month, which was butt deep.  Here is the picture from the first of March.  Just to refresh your memory how about the first picture I took on February 1.  The snow was knee deep when I took this picture.  I'm hoping that May first you will see no snow at all. But it's not looking good. There is a rumor that this Friday we could get a foot of snow. I hope it's just someone's ideas of an April Fools Day joke. As for things to ponder, I can't think of anything new to ponder. I'm still working on the next project. It  should be finished soon. I'm in a bad procrastination mode. Well that's about all I have...
