    This weekend here is our county fair. You'd think it could be a big deal. But it's not. The fair this year is the worst ever. Apparently the carnival they were going to get cancelled and we almost didn't have anything. They do have a few things. About four rides, if that's what you want to call them. And maybe about four games. And a few food stands. Not even a place to get an elephant ear, my favorite. There are the usual animals, but not even many of those any more. As for local booth displays, not even many of those. But it is free to get into. But you still have to pay to see grandstand things as always. This town gets worse and worse every year when it comes to promoting itself. Nobody wants to do much of anything to bring in people in different ways other then work and a little bit of tourism. There is a car show in the park that might bring a few more people in, but don't count on it. So I was thinking what they could have done to help boost the crowds ...

What can I say about this shooting that has not already been said? I would like to to say my thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who are personally involved in this incident in a way I know they never imagined they would ever be. So many questions are going through everyone's mind on how something like this could have happened. Most of them will never be honestly answered. My thoughts about this person who did this are as follows: He was has been very lost to the real world for a long time. For his mother to say," You've got the right person." Tells me she know exactly how lost he was. He was so lost he created a fantasy world where he believed he was the Joker. Always smiling in every picture. What I'd like to ask is why he chose that moment to unleash his fantasy world on to the real world in such a devastating way? There is nothing anyone can do to undo what has been done.  Yesterday the husband and I took a ride and ended up along the shore of Lake Superior. I like to do this kind of thing from time to time. You never know what you'll find. For one thing you find drift wood like the one above. I know it's small but I'm sure I'll find something to do with it.  Another thing we found was this feather. I'm not sure which kind of bird it came from for sure but it was a large bird. Maybe an eagle. Then there are rocks. Here are some small ones that caught my eye for different reasons.    This one we found and  of course left there, X marks the spot. Now this one has a nature made mark that once you see it you can't unsee it. That is if you want to see it.  But if you don't see it, it might almost look like a picture of a big dinosaur or even a dog sitting up or a caterpillar.  That's the mystery of being out side. You never know where your imagination will lead you.  You might even find...

  I was thinking this last week, I know a dangerous thing for me to do. That wouldn't it be interesting if when it came to celebrating Independence we could make a weekend of it every year. What I mean is instead of nation wide we set off the fireworks on the Fourth Of July that we make a good long weekend of celebrating it on the first Friday of July? I would not ask anyone to forget about the The Fourth of July, never. Just when it comes to celebrating it we do it on the first Friday of July. It would give more people a better chance to really enjoy the celebration. I ask people I work with if there was a chance to change to time off for the holiday to a Friday giving you a whole weekend of enjoyment, no matter what day the fourth is on. Because lets face it when it's in the middle of the week, like it was this year, allot of people can not enjoy it the way it should be enjoyed because they have to get up in the morning to go to work. Bullying is once again in the news again. But when you think about it bullying is the news. That's all news is about. The one with the bus monitor being made fun of by a bunch of middle school kids is the latest. And now she is getting allot of money because of it. And the kids are getting death threats. Does anything here really make any sense to you? I'm glad for the lady for getting the support she is getting. More power to her. The kids should have known better. As for the people who are sending death threats, really? How stupid can you be? Who's being the bully now? I know allot about being bullied. I was bullied my whole growing up years. I was bullied by family, kids in school, and a few teachers. The thing with kids started in first grade. There a number of reasons why I think and know it started. One was a bladder issue I had. I was sitting here trying to think of something to write about and I'm afraid I can't think of any one thing to write about. Here are a few things that have been bouncing around in my head lately. Mother nature: The fire out in Colorado was apparently started by mother nature herself with the help from some little beetles. I hear someone say that this fire could be burning like this all summer. Can you imagine how much this fire could burn if this happened? But where I am it had been getting kind of dry. Lawns were starting to turn brown but now it's been raining, except today. It's suppose to be sunny and maybe close to 80. The other night there were frost warnings out. The rest of the week it's suppose to be rainy, again. So today, for Father's day, it will be nice here. So Dad's enjoy the day. As most of the country knows Wisconsin had a recall election. I just want to say that from the beginning of this whine I told people it was a waste of time and a waste of money and I was right. Not everyone is ever happy with who becomes the elected official for them. Happiness for everyone will never happen. So you just have to grin and bare it until that persons time is up. And or make your opinion known to that person by voicing your unhappiness to that person in a nice way and not a threatening way. I can't promise they will listen, but hey it's worth a try, right? I'm really not a fan of politics. They are usually the kind of people who if I knew them personally I would not like them anyway because they usually give off this kind of vibe that tells me they really don't care about me one little bit. So I don't matter. So that one is over and done with for now. Now comes the next big mud slinging event. The winner will be...... Now if I told you that I would...
