The past week or so has had more then it's fair share of news making events for my home town. There were two fires(one arson, one wood stove related), two deaths of community icons and one school threat. Now that's allot of our small town. So Let me go into details about them in the order in which they happened. The first one was the passing of Dolores" Dee" Meyer a former 4 term mayor of Medford.    When she was mayor she helped do allot for the area. One of her biggest project was developing the river walk along the river. It included bridges, flowers, a gazebo, picnic tables, a paved walkway, a fishing dock, and trees. She was a leader and pioneer in the political world. And paved the way for other women in the community. She was 86. The next thing that happened last Saturday was a fire on main street. It was a newer business Called Main Street Grill and Pizza. And it was arson. The owner of the business is being charged. His name is David Johnson. ...

   Did he decide to quit before God fired him? Maybe he wanted to enjoy his final time for himself and not praying to save the world for himself. I say you can pray all you want but it will take allot more than prayer to fix this messed up world.       Is this the beginning of something bigger coming our way or just the usual random thing that happens from time to time? I'll let you know when I'm done with my research. Which will not be any time soon. So I'll just wonder right along with you. For now.     Was it a real accident or an act of terrorism? For Valentines Day I've decided to post a recipe I found in one of my cookbooks. I hope you enjoy it.    I wonder if that's his car or the neighbors? The poor east coast is getting hit with another storm. This time it is mostly snow and wind. Unless you live along the beach front properties. Then you have to deal with wicked waves coming to get you, just like the last hurricane. Looking into my crystal ball I see allot more big storms heading their way for an extended amount of time. So East Coast people you better get use to it, your lives will now be ruled by the wicked weather that will continue to take aim at you. Until the jet steam changes it position, that is. As for where I am, our storm is a on the way. It should start snowing here in a couple of hours or less. We should get a few inches here and maybe some mixed stuff when you go south of here. I was going to make that post about me but I'm still looking for the right pictures to go along with it. So I guess I'll once again comment on the news.   The man that has the little five year old boy in a bunker. Everyone is wondering how this will end. Right now to me, it does  not good. He looks like a person who is very set in his ways and thinking that there will be no way to get him to change his reasoning for doing what he did, whatever they are. Most of us are thinking there has to be some way for this to end so the little boy will not be hurt any more than he has already been. But we are not the people trained to deal with people like this. I do have a couple of questions. Does this man have any family? It there anyway they could get someone he knows to talk to him? Or is he a complete loner who pictures the whole world is against him?
