Pondering............

I've been trying to think of something to ponder lately and for some reason nothing new is really coming to me.
I could ponder some of the same old same old but, I'm getting tired of doing what so many others are doing.

 I just want to see how many people out there are interested in anything I write. So I'm going to think about a few different topics and see if anyone wants to read about my pondering.

Here is a list of things I could ponder:
The latest news of whatever.
Earthy news(Mother Nature doing what Mother Nature does).
Silly stories.
My chicken with bad timing at hatching out three baby chicks last week.( Fall is creeping up on us here. Highs in sixties)
My basket full of letters written to my Grandfather starting in about 1919 to the early 1930's.
Old pictures from about the same time which I'm not sure who any of these people are. 
Random pictures of the world around me.
Maybe I could write about books I've read.
Or story ideas that keep bouncing around in my head and can never seam to find an organized way on to paper.
Or even stories from my past.

I will try to consider anything thrown out at me if I can.
I'm just a nut stuck in a rut. Please help find away to pull me out.





I'll be waiting to ponder any pondering possibilities.

Jean Viken Cold Case

When I first started this blog one of the first things I wrote about was the murder of a local woman. She disappeared Jan 29th 2008 on one of the coldest days of that month. Her body was found I think in May of that year. She had been shot. Her van was found not long after she went missing up north. She was the mother of 4 young children and was going through a divorce at the time. Well here it is 2 years later and nothing has happened to try and find the person or persons responsible for her death. Why? I'm sure the whoever was responsible was really not that smart. It's as if the no one wants to get to the bottom of what really happened to her. Maybe she was not important enough. Maybe she was not connected to the right people.  I wonder what it would take to get more exposure to this cold case. Jean Viken update and other local things.

This past week Channel 7 has been doing stories on the cold case of Jean Viken.I did see one of them. In it the police said they know who did it but they are waiting for someone to come forward. But no matter what four young children will be without their mother for the rest of their lives because someone decided to end her life out of the meanness of their heart. Here is the story I found on the internet: Jean Viken's friends and family remember her as a loving mother of four young kids, a devoted daughter and sister. But nearly four years after her murder, a dark cloud hangs over Jean's memory, as they continue to search for answers. "We were having a birthday party for her because all of her friends would have wanted to get together like we would have done if she was here," Jane Hempel said. Pondering Japan's Earthquake

The earthquake in Japan is just another wake up call for us. It is so far the largest disaster we are dealing with right now. And with all those nuclear power plants having problems there, it will get a whole lot worse.  The earth is talking to us. Telling us the big change is upon us. Instead of fighting wars in other countries we should be preparing our people for this big change that will change our home, planet Earth, in a way that will make life allot more difficult to survive.  Japan had prepared for this kind of event to a point, but this kind of event to this degree is never fool proof.  My heart does go out to all those who are living through this right now.  I will give one prediction for the near future that some might say makes me sound like a crack pot but it is always a possibility.  Here it is: With all the things happening right now natural disasters and political unrest big changes are inevitable.
