Pondering: What decade or time would you live or relive and why?

What decade or time would you like to live or relive and why?
I have been asking people this question for a couple of weeks just to see what kind of answers I would get.
It's been an interesting time. Some of the answers were kind of expected while others were a little surprising.
Some people didn't know what to say. They would get this far a way look and say they have never thought about it.
Some just said they had no desire to live or relive another time.
Well for the ones who did give an answer I would like to thank you for your time.
So with no farther delay here are the results.

There was one who did answer  2000  because I made him choose.


A few said 1990's because:
Finical boom
Things were a little cheaper
Reliving their childhood.

Some said 1980's because:
Finically better
To relive childhood
Disco, fun times
Redo teen years and go to collage
Just a better time for them

1970's because:
goals were reached
less regulations, more freedom, men worked and women stayed home( must have been thinking about the early 1970's)
old cars
relive childhood, go back and speak up better

A lot said the 1960's because:
old cool cars ( a number of people said that)
watch bra burning ( a joker in every crowd)
childhood, no adult responsibility
before all the stupid crappy wars started
People had better manners
peace, love, and drugs
simpler time, fun times
meet hubby
people know how to have fun

1950's because:
You could trust your neighbor
economic boom
cool cars
muscle cars ( the only way he could get one)
seamed more innocent
good music

1940's because:
simpler time

1920's because:
beginning of the industrial age
fashion
simpler time

1880's because:
no cars
horses
simpler time
more of a natural time
live off the land
before electricity

1850's because:
A more natural time

One wanted to go back and teach Jessie James a lesson.

One said Victorian time because they liked the look of the architecture when it was new, plus the dresses.

A couple said medieval times because they liked the dress and armor ( I wonder if they are romance readers)

One said before white man came to America
Living off the land , surviving in a way nature intended( She's not even an Indian, just my sister who likes reading books about that time period)

Well that's my results.
If you want to know what I would choose I would say if I could I would take the best of the 1880's and 1960's and mush them together, that's what I would choose.

Jean Viken Cold Case

When I first started this blog one of the first things I wrote about was the murder of a local woman. She disappeared Jan 29th 2008 on one of the coldest days of that month. Her body was found I think in May of that year. She had been shot. Her van was found not long after she went missing up north. Jean Viken update and other local things.

This past week Channel 7 has been doing stories on the cold case of Jean Viken.I did see one of them. In it the police said they know who did it but they are waiting for someone to come forward. But no matter what four young children will be without their mother for the rest of their lives because someone decided to end her life out of the meanness of their heart. Here is the story I found on the internet: Jean Viken's friends and family remember her as a loving mother of four young kids, a devoted daughter and sister. But nearly four years after her murder, a dark cloud hangs over Jean's memory, as they continue to search for answers. "We were having a birthday party for her because all of her friends would have wanted to get together like we would have done if she was here," Jane Hempel said. Pondering Japan's Earthquake

The earthquake in Japan is just another wake up call for us. It is so far the largest disaster we are dealing with right now. And with all those nuclear power plants having problems there, it will get a whole lot worse.  The earth is talking to us. Telling us the big change is upon us. Instead of fighting wars in other countries we should be preparing our people for this big change that will change our home, planet Earth, in a way that will make life allot more difficult to survive.  Japan had prepared for this kind of event to a point, but this kind of event to this degree is never fool proof.  My heart does go out to all those who are living through this right now.  I will give one prediction for the near future that some might say makes me sound like a crack pot but it is always a possibility.  Here it is: With all the things happening right now natural disasters and political unrest big changes are inevitable.
