Now who is really surprised about this scandal? Not me. They were bound to get caught by the media eventually. But I think the media already knew about it a long, long, long time ago. This is just another distraction from something even bigger that is going down somewhere. When I think about the secret service and I see very arrogant people who feel they are untouchable. That's why they do the things they do. People who make good secret service people are more then likely bullies anyway. They are very intimidating people. Which they should be. To protect who they have to protect they've got to be able to throw their weight around. But they are only human anyway. They have urges, just like any other red blooded person on this little planet. I'm not defending them in any way shape or form. I'm just saying their arrogance got the best of them. So maybe they should all be busted down to, lets see what's a good job for someone who is too full of themselves........

Have you ever seen this show? I started watching it just to see how people are planing for the end of the world as we know it. It amazes me how many different reasons some people are thinking the world will end. Also what some are doing to prepare. Some of the reasons people are preparing for are solar flares, nuclear attacks, economic crashes, oil crisis, volcano erupting and earth quakes. When you think of it anyone of them is possible. These people are very obsessed with being prepared. They live their lives thinking about it all the time. Some whole families are into it while others have family members who do not want be involved in it. One woman has to do her hoarding of food behind her husbands back. But he knows she is doing it, so she only does her things when he is out of the house. A couple have a good idea about getting their neighborhood or city all thinking about it so if something should happen they can work together to protect one another. They all have some kind...

The shooting of Trayvon Martin was one that should have never happened. Do I think that the guy who shot him should be charged? Your darn right he should be. Whatever excuse he gives for doing it are not excepting in my book. If you are going to be a neighborhood watch person you should know everyone in your neighborhood. That means to meet them and to let them know who you are. That's what neighbors do. Get to know one another especially if you want to help protect one another. You don't have to get to know everything about everyone. You just need to know who each other is and be able to at least say hi to one another in passing. Simple right?  Why can't we do this simple act of kindness? Because, we are so wrapped up in ourselves and or are suspicious of one another. We are afraid to know anyone outside of our families or social groups. If I could start a movement it would be knowing who your neighbors are enough to at least say HI when you meet them on the street in ...

I was looking through the pictures trying to decide which ones I should post first. Well I decided to start with the post cards. Here are four of them that caught my eye first. On the back of this one is written, " Part of crowds at (something) Point, Roosevelt Day and front of Teddy's car."  I'm not sure exactly what the place is. Maybe someone can help me figure out what the place is.  On the back of this one it says, "Harry (Bergland) Baily" I'm not sure who that is or exactly what year  On the back of this one it says, "B.G. Engstrom Camp Morse Wis. Late 19 teens." I think  I have the name of the town  right, but I'm not sure. This last postcard is from 1914. I'm not sure who is the picture.  On March 4th this is what it looked like around here. The snow was knee deep. And now this is what it looks like. The temperature has been in the 70's. The robins are back. Along with killdeer, black birds and cranes. The frogs are also singing. The only complaint I have is the mud on the driveway.  I do so love the warmer weather. But I know Mother Nature will throw a little bit of colder weather at us before May sometime, she always does.   But while it is nice outside I can now start doing the after winter clean up and maybe start thinking about what I will plant this year. But I don't want to plant somethings to early because like I said I don't think that Mother Nature is done with the cold around here yet. Well that's about it for now.
