Hi all!
How was the first moth of the year for you? Mine was quieter then it was for others. Before I get into other things let me show you the swing.
This time tomorrow, it will look different. We are suppose to get a snow storm. Not as bad as they had it on the East coast but they are already canceling some  schools for tomorrow. 
Now here are the last two years to compare swing with.

 This is from last year. As you can see there was more snow on the ground then this year.
2014. The swing was almost covered with snow.
I wonder what next year will look like. 

You never know what kind of winter you will have in Wisconsin each year. But I think you can say that almost everywhere.

I'm sorry, but I have not finished a project in time to show you. I just have not been in the mood to do much crafting. I do want to have at least two project to show you next time.

Now I suppose it's time once again for things to ponder.
As I'm writing this the caucus has not happened yet. 
It should show the world where people heads are when it comes to electing our next leader.
I'm not a fan of any of them, as I have told you before.
But if say Trump comes out on top, I know exactly where we are headed. Our future will look a lot like it was in the movie "Idiocracy".

This is so true.
I wish I could tell you how not to let this happen but I think it might be to late.And no one would listen to me anyway.

Do you ever have the kind of day that starts out with you feeling good and in a happy place and then someone that you have been doing your best to keep out of your head, comes up to you and has to make a criticizing comment to you. Why? Who knows. But after that you can't keep them out of your head.  And the comment they make is dumb. But it's the kind of comment that can get under your skin. That was my day. 


I know there are a number of things I should comment on but it's getting late and I have things to do.
But I'll leave you with a couple of things to ponder. 
Bullying? Will it ever end or will people finally see it has always been there and will always be there. Especially when your leaders are so good at it.

The weather. It will be what it will be. So deal with it.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Jean Viken Cold Case

When I first started this blog one of the first things I wrote about was the murder of a local woman. She disappeared Jan 29th 2008 on one of the coldest days of that month. Her body was found I think in May of that year. She had been shot. Her van was found not long after she went missing up north. She was the mother of 4 young children and was going through a divorce at the time. Well here it is 2 years later and nothing has happened to try and find the person or persons responsible for her death. Why? I'm sure the whoever was responsible was really not that smart. Jean Viken update and other local things.

This past week Channel 7 has been doing stories on the cold case of Jean Viken.I did see one of them. In it the police said they know who did it but they are waiting for someone to come forward. But no matter what four young children will be without their mother for the rest of their lives because someone decided to end her life out of the meanness of their heart. Here is the story I found on the internet: Jean Viken's friends and family remember her as a loving mother of four young kids, a devoted daughter and sister. But nearly four years after her murder, a dark cloud hangs over Jean's memory, as they continue to search for answers. "We were having a birthday party for her because all of her friends would have wanted to get together like we would have done if she was here," Jane Hempel said. Pondering Japan's Earthquake

The earthquake in Japan is just another wake up call for us. It is so far the largest disaster we are dealing with right now. And with all those nuclear power plants having problems there, it will get a whole lot worse.  The earth is talking to us. Telling us the big change is upon us. Instead of fighting wars in other countries we should be preparing our people for this big change that will change our home, planet Earth, in a way that will make life allot more difficult to survive.  Japan had prepared for this kind of event to a point, but this kind of event to this degree is never fool proof.  My heart does go out to all those who are living through this right now.  I will give one prediction for the near future that some might say makes me sound like a crack pot but it is always a possibility.  Here it is: With all the things happening right now natural disasters and political unrest big changes are inevitable.
