I did the history on plastic last time, so now I'll tell you about what people said when I asked them. The answers I got were mixed. Some thought it would be a better world, while some said it would not be. Some said it would be a healthier one, some said there would be allot more death and illnesses. Some said it would be cleaner, while others said there would be allot more garbage or waste of other resources.  All of these answers are right to some point.  We would be using more other natural materials for some things. Wood, metal, rubber and cloth.  There are so many ways to look at things. It all depends on how you are looking at things at the time.  I for one would think it could have been a better world if some of the plastics that are out there now were never invented. This is a question that has been bouncing around in my head for a couple of weeks. What triggered it? I was looking around at work at all the things that have plastic in them or is all plastic. Then I thought about all things in all of life that are some kind of plastic. I'm guessing that 90% of everything in our life is made of some form of plastic.  This got me to thinking about the history of plastic. So I looked it up. This is what I found. The first time plastic was revealed was in 1862 by a man named Alexander Parkes. He called it Parkesine. It was made from organic cellulose. It was suppose to do anything natural rubber could but cost less. This first attempt to mass produce was poor because he tried to reduce production costs. I meant to write last weekend but, (here comes some lame excuses) I couldn't find the right time to write. I was going to write something sometime during the week but the husband decided to take most of the week off to make hay. So no real me time to try and focus on much of anything creative. So if your wondering what I did do over the three days last weekend, here is a brief sum up. On Saturday we went to the family cabin and I hung out with my siblings and parents, until they had to leave to go to my Dads class reunion for awhile.There were other people who were there just to hang for what my Dad who likes to call it "Camp Fire Therapy".
