A Pondering travel idea

A pondering thought I often have during the day is what would it be like to travel around in a slow kind of way that is not heard of very often? Riding bicycle, walking or even traveling by horse and wagon. I like the idea of traveling around by horse and wagon. Going to places that not many people would stop and spend time learning about the area and history that will soon disappear. Meeting people you would more then likely never give a second thought about. Seeing nature. Enjoying the great outdoors.
I often wonder if it would be possible to get a group of people together and do this sort of thing. People who have an interest in recording what they see. People who want to experience what it's like to travel in a different way. People who want to slow down for awhile.
But then there are allot of things to think about before doing something like this. Like if you have animals, you need people who know how to handle them and make sure they are always safe. You need people who have experience with security. Lets face it the world is not a safe place. No matter where you live or travel to. People would need to know how to cook over an open fire. And the main thing would be money. It would not be cheap to travel this way. There are so many more things to think about.
It's a dream.
I get tired of being stuck in a building all day.
I like to picture a caravan of people traveling around watching nature, maybe stopping and helping people with little things, learning more about themselves and maybe seeing that there is more to life then cell phones, video games, computers and TV.
Something like this would best be done during the summer months.
I would love to hear what other people would like to do for an adventure.

When you have a wedding out in the middle of the woods even the outhouse gets to be decorated.
And yes there is still snow up here. But it is melting more and more thanks to a little warmer temps and some drizzling rain.

Now for the thought of the day:
"Time; you can't buy, steal, beg or borrow it, so don't waste it."
