Trifecta kind of time

Image
Hello all! I hope this post finds you all well. I'm fine.  A lot has been going on in the world or should I say just our country. Here is is something that has been rolling around in my brain. about the recent events. Ready? Thanks to Mr. Dweeb (formally known as President), the country is on the biggest edge it's ever been on. At least in my lifetime. Will we be able to overcome the mess he has left in his wake or will we be forever dealing with the fallout? I want to say, we will get past this but it's going to be a very hard long road. He has sown so much doubt in everyone's minds it's going to be the hardest on his supporters or maybe they are followers. Not sure what to call them.  What is making this even harder is the pandemic. Between just these two things, life as we have known it will never really be the same again. But to make this problem even bigger, Mother Nature is making herself known also.  So I guess we are living in a trifecta kind of time. Whatev...

December 2017

I know I'm a day late. What can I say it's kind of distracting around here right now. This month has been not what I wanted. The husband is dealing with a broken foot that happened at work. The doctors are not being very helpful. The doc he was seeing said it was just a contusion. Wrong! He went it the other day again and was told it is fractured. Now he has a boot on and they said they are going to get on top of it. They were suppose to call yesterday and start setting something up. No call. I'm thinking it time I release my inner bitch and give them all a piece of my mind in a way they won't see coming.  This is seriously going to damage my plans to continue hiking the Ice Age Trail. I know I sound selfish. But the husband is also finding it very hard it get a lot of other things done around here. It is making it harder for him to care for the cattle with ease. Now it is a struggle to get around. Cutting firewood is not easy. And I'm sure he is having a very ...

March 2017

It's almost hard to believe that two months have gone by. I don't know if it feels like time is going faster because I'm getting older or it things are just happening that much faster. The last month for me personally was just the same old same old. But I did learn a classmate of mine passed away. We were never friends. In fact, he was one of the first ones that made my school days very miserable. Looking back on way things turned out the way they did, I kind of wish things had been different between us. He had always been on my mind when he shouldn't have been. I think that if things had been different we could have been friends and the future would have been different for both of us. But dumb me missed a last chance to see him at our last class reunion back in 2015. Now I will forever live with that regret. If I could send  him a message now I would say: Peter Keuer: To the boy I knew,  and to the man I wish I had known, you will forever be in my...

Feb. 2017

Well it's the beginning of another month. January just flew by. Let see what can I tell you about the last month. My daughter and her husband announced what they are having in a kind of explosive way in my backyard. The woods is now pink. I will have a granddaughter come June sometime. Before I go any farther I will show you the swing: We have a far amount of snow right now. There was more but there was that warm spell that closed the snowmobile trail for awhile. I think that some might be opening again this weekend in some places. But I really don't care because I don't snowmobile.  If you are looking for the pink, the recent snow covered it up, so sorry. I don't know if you can see the stump in the back. There's not much left of it after the announcement. The rest of the month was not real exciting for me. Well nothing that is worth mentioning anyway. I have been working on a project. It's half done. I haven't been in the mood lately...

Just Breath

I have to keep telling myself to just breath you will survive. This was an election that has to have been the worst I've ever seen so far. But I guess people just have to learn the hard way about everything. I know politics is the hardest to understand in the best of times. But this one broke all records in my book. I wonder if people realize that with a Republican president and congress, there is a high chance that the wrong things will become a reality that will take their breath away. Plus this person will be choosing at least one supreme court justice. What kind of new unfair justice will they stand behind? Will women lose more in the long run? Will non-white people suffer even more? How will dealing with other counties be handled? Will when a woman reaches a certain age where they are no long attractive, have to start wearing a total cover up and stay only in the kitchen? Only arm candy will be permitted to be seen in public with men. So many ponderin...

Well another month has gone by. How was your month? For me personally, not to bad. I did decide to start letting my inner bitch come out from time to time when needed. I'm tired of always caving in to others and letting them do what they want even though my wants and needs are just as important as theirs. So watch out world here I come, ready or not. Let's see, how about the weather. This last month was either hot or very wet. Up north of here close to Ashland, a number of roads were washed out during one rain storm. Some of these roads will be awhile before they are fixed right. I just wonder what this month will bring. Will it continue or have a sudden change? I think there is a possibility we could have an early winter around here with colder temps then we had this last time. Bears are starting to hit some of the neighbors bird feeders. That's why I do not feed the birds in the summer or fall. I will put seed out after I know the bears are hopeful...

Pondering Monday and Desert

What should I ponder about today. I could ponder about the up coming election but enough people are putting their pondering ideas into that. If you want my opinion it's going to be what it's going to be. Not every person will be happy about it. Shocker right. There are some people who are not happy unless they are making a fuss about everything. I think they are thinking something like, "I don't agree with anything no matter what. I must be miserable at all cost. And make everyone around me even more miserable." I'm really not into politics. I'm pondering on making a desert with Jello and different fruit in it. One is blackberries. It calls for a cup. I wanted some fresh ones and lucky for me there was some growing at the end of my driveway. I wasn't sure if there would be enough because it's been a bad growing year for a number of plants. But I have my cup of blackberries. The name of the desert is Over the Rainbow. It has four flavors of gelati...

A Pondering travel idea

Image
A pondering thought I often have during the day is what would it be like to travel around in a slow kind of way that is not heard of very often? Riding bicycle, walking or even traveling by horse and wagon. I like the idea of traveling around by horse and wagon. Going to places that not many people would stop and spend time learning about the area and history that will soon disappear. Meeting people you would more then likely never give a second thought about. Seeing nature. Enjoying the great outdoors. I often wonder if it would be possible to get a group of people together and do this sort of thing. People who have an interest in recording what they see. People who want to experience what it's like to travel in a different way. People who want to slow down for awhile. But then there are allot of things to think about before doing something like this. Like if you have animals, you need people who know how to handle them and make sure they are always safe. You need people who ha...

No more Snow, Please!

I am so tired of snow. Yesterday and last night it snowed here, again. Just when I thought maybe I'd see my lawn it was buried with more snow. And this morning driving to work was an adventure. There was about 5 inches of that nasty white stuff. I was able to follow my husbands tracks down the driveway, slowly. Once at the end of the driveway it was a good thing I didn't have to stop or I could have gotten stuck there. It was also a good thing that a couple of other people had already driven on our road or I would have been plowing more snow with the bottom of my car. It was also a good thing I didn't have to stop at the next two corners or I would have gotten stuck. Even the highway wasn't plowed, at that time. This snow was heavy so it made it easier to get stuck. But I didn't get stuck. About 15 other people didn't make it in this morning. I only have a little over 6 miles to go to get to work. Some people have to come from allot farther then I do. They had ...

A Mood Monday

What to ponder. How about the state of the Union speech that Bush will be giving tonight? I don't plan on watching it. Every time I see him on TV giving a speech, I can't explain what goes through my head. So to save myself frustration and allot of yelling I don't watch. One thing that always bugs me when a president gives a speech is how often people applaud. Why not wait till after the speech is over? Or do they do that to make sure they don't fall asleep listening to it. What I think would be funny is instead of applause all that could be heard would be crickets chirping. I know be serious. I now it is suppose to be important, but I can't get into listening to speeches like that. I like casual . I don't like being preached at. I'll hear enough about tomorrow on the news. I go to bed early, around nine or so. I guess I don't have allot to say so I'll do my thought for the day: "Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but memories."

Moody Monay

It another moody Monday. People at work were a little quiet today. Why? The Packers lost. It's a little quiet around home too. There's always next season. I just found out today I'm going to be a great aunt. My older sisters daughter just found out she's expecting. Yeah for her! They were planning on getting married in Oct.,but now it will be sooner I think. Her future husband and father of her child, says one down, one to go. He wants to have 6 or 7 kids. We'll see if he feels the same way when he's getting up at night to comfort the baby, change diapers and those 2am feedings. I believe in small families. Two kids tops. There are so many people in the world now. This little planet can't handle so many humans. Here's a pondering thought. What if all the things happening now a days are mother natures way of trying to get us to change and reduce our numbers. She will continue to do the most horrible things. Not just weather but things like more earth ...

A little bit of this and a little bit of that

I was thinking all day if I should ponder something or write something. I decided to do a little of both. First I will ponder about the next president. Right now I feel that the best chose would be a ticket with Oboma and Edwards on it. Why? I don't know it's just a feeling I have. Which to be which? I'm not sure right now. It's a tie in my book. But like I said the mud slinging will only get worse as the year goes on. They will all do it, which in my book is the biggest turn off. The second ponder I have is about Britney. That woman needs so much help right now. She needs to get away from all that she knows and go some place where she can get her head screwed on better. Find people who will not use her in ways that encourage her to disrespect herself. That and there should be laws that say the paparazzi must stay so far away from celebrities especially when they are driving a car. It all has to do with safety reasons. That's enough pondering for one day. I have a ...
