What I did on my Labor Day weekend plus other thoughts and a project.

I meant to write last weekend but, (here comes some lame excuses) I couldn't find the right time to write. I was going to write something sometime during the week but the husband decided to take most of the week off to make hay. So no real me time to try and focus on much of anything creative. So if your wondering what I did do over the three days last weekend, here is a brief sum up. On Saturday we went to the family cabin and I hung out with my siblings and parents, until they had to leave to go to my Dads class reunion for awhile. There were other people who were there just to hang for what my Dad who likes to call it "Camp Fire Therapy". It was to hot to sit around the fire pit or even in the sun for awhile but everyone still enjoyed themselves.( I forgot my camera)  At one point me, my sisters, my youngest, my younger sisters daughter and two of my brothers step kids went for a walk in the woods, with two bottles of wine for the adults ONLY. The bottles came b...

Old Postcards from way before my time

Image
I was looking through the pictures trying to decide which ones I should post first. Well I decided to start with the post cards. Here are four of them that caught my eye first. On the back of this one is written, " Part of crowds at (something) Point, Roosevelt Day and front of Teddy's car."  I'm not sure exactly what the place is. Maybe someone can help me figure out what the place is.  On the back of this one it says, "Harry (Bergland) Baily" I'm not sure who that is or exactly what year  On the back of this one it says, "B.G. Engstrom Camp Morse Wis. Late 19 teens." I think  I have the name of the town  right, but I'm not sure. This last postcard is from 1914. I'm not sure who is the picture. It says it's some kind of a course. Class at Ogema. Well that's just a sample of some of the things I will be sharing with who ever wants to look. If I post a picture of someone you know I would love to find o...

T'was the Sunday before Christmas

T'was the Sunday before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring, but me. It's kind of hard for me to believe Christmas is this Friday already. It feels like it was just Thanksgiving, Why does it feel like everything is happening faster and faster lately? Is it because I'm getting older or is the world it's self going around faster? Whatever is the reason it's making it harder for me to enjoy things anymore. Speaking of change, the climate change meeting they had in Copenhagen. In my opinion it was a waste of time and money. It does not matter what they decide they want to do, the planet it's self is going to do what it wants to do. The human race has done allot of things to damage this place we call home but, people have to realize that this a living entity of it's own feel will. It is going through a change of it's own and there is nothing the human race can do to stop the changes that are happening more and more. Just have t...
