Pondering Thoughts

It's been one of those weeks where allot of different things have popped into me head. Some dumb some not so dumb. Like the woman with too many kids. You know the one I'm talking about. I will not mention her name. I have decided that I must not think about her and her selfishness. She is the product of what happens when you raise a royal pain. Never taking no for an answer. My heart goes out to the kids because they will have a life that will be very hard. But what can anyone really do right now. Like Dr. Phil, it's time for everyone to just stand back and let things happen, nothing good will happen given the people involved. It is heartbreaking knowing that the kids will pay the price for the chooses the adults are making for them. Just remember the mess that happened with the ones up in Canada back in the 30's. That was because of a doctor at first, then the parents continued the mess afterward. One question, what is happening to the doctor that allowed this to happ

The Calves and the Return of the Turkeys

Image
As I promised here are pictures of our new calves. They look a little hairy right now because they still have their winter hair. This is Norman This is Norbert. Now with the snow gone the turkeys are coming around again. These are four hens checking out things underneath the bird feeder. I hope that some day after their babies hatch out that they will bring them around so that I can record their growth and post for all to see. I also hope that I can catch a tom turkey in

Spring has Sprung, I think

Yesterday was the first day of spring, but the temps were telling me different. I did see allot of robins hopping around, so they are back. There is an old wives tale that says, before it will stay warm it has to snow on the robins three times. If that's true it will have to snow here two more times because the ground is now white once again. It is suppose to warm up to almost 50 or so today, so the snow should be gone by tonight. When it snows like that it makes things that more sloppy. The other day the husband went to a place where they sell livestock and come home with two calves. They are not newly born, they are a little older then that. He was going to call them Norman and Norbert but the oldest one said we can't do that because we already had a Norman. That was years ago. The reason we might call him Norman is because he is a Jersey, like the one that was on City Slickers. I'm still trying to figure out how a Jersey calf came out of a beef cow like that. I want to g

Another Quiet Sunday

It's another quiet Sunday morning for me with the exception that Minni Me was growling at I think Cletus. She is now sitting quietly or was next to me on another chair. She just left me to wonder. I was trying to think about what to write today. Everything in my household is quiet and uneventful. No one is sick. No one is in trouble for anything. Can't really do anything outside right now because it is finally warming up and the snow has been melting making everything a sloppy mess. Today it could get close to, if not above 50 today and maybe tomorrow too. Other people around me are doing interesting things. Like a neighbor to the north of me, who live in a trailer house, just bought a 60 inch TV. I'm just wondering how do you watch a TV that big in such a confined space. I think that has redneck written all over it. I told the husband that is one thing I do not want in my house, at least not that big. The biggest one I might get someday will be maybe between 32 and 42, m

Paulina's New House

Image
After some searching Paulina has found a house she could really learn to love with some more work it will be everything she ever dreamed it could be. As I told you before she was buying it from a couple of Barbies. They decided that with everything else they had going on they didn't have the time and lets face it, the money to finish what they started. After Paulina saw it she had to see the inside. She saw so much more potential. So I checked it out with her. After some time I told her I could help her finish what was started years ago. I told her I could help add on a bedroom and a kitchen if she would like. I warned her it could take some time to get it finished. She told me that things that take time to get done right the first time are always worth waiting for. After finally getting a hold of the Barbies again, she signed the papers. The Barbies then climbed into their pink car with their dogs and drove away smiling and waving. I could have sworn I heard one of then say &quo
