Don't you wish that's all you had to say was goodbye to one year and the next  would be a totally clean slate. One thing about 2011 is it seamed to be the year where things that have been hidden or kept behind closed doors and minds, were exposed to the public in ways that people who thought of themselves as untouchable were suddenly looked at as monsters. I say what took so long.  Another thing is the sudden rebellion against the top so called 1%. I think it happened because of those people who have been going to collage for way too many years and now have a massive debt that has to be paid back and can not find a job. This occupy Wall Street thing did not work. Sitting in City parks or wherever, is not going to get your point across. It is only costing tax payers more money to clean up the mess you are making and more police to try to keep things safe for everyone.  If you want to get the top people to pay, find a better way.   Now that I've wished you all a Happy Christmas I'm off and running, ( as soon as I eat my breakfast and I'm done writing this post). Let's see what do I have to do before the kids get here...... Bake pies for tomorrow, start the barbequed spare ribs for tonight, do some last minute cleaning,  and whatever else pops up that needs to done.  I'll post a ponder after all the excitement from the next couple days is over. This seams to be the year where scandals are revealed. Just think about all the scandals just from this month alone. Sex, political, sports, and entertainment.Being the world we are that seams to be all that matters. How did we get to be such a scandalous world? How did we get to the point that they are such huge scandals that seam to have been going on for years,and  are just now being exposed? Why now? Why all at once? These are usually things that should never have been allowed to have started in the first place. Why do we look the other way when we see something bad going down? I think one thought is they don't want to be the one known for bringing someone down. Especially if it's someone you look up to. So you sit on it and let if fester till it comes the day that you feel like your going to explode if you don't release it. I know this a fashion statement that's been around for awhile. Recently where I work we had a temp person who wore his pants like this. I was surprised no one said anything to him about it not being safe to wear pants like that here. Anyway I was noticing the way he was standing in a very wide stance to help hold up his pants because his hands were very busy doing the job. It got me to thinking if that is a normal way to stand for people who wear these kind of very baggy low riding pants. If so what will these people look like as they get older and this trend is no longer seen. Will this generation will look like this before their time? People might ask if you've been riding a horse for days.Chances are you've never even touched one. Or maybe people will look at you as if you've got your pants full. Midnight or 12am? Which one sounds better to you? When all that Black Friday advertising was going on (and driving me up the wall,especially the one from Target with the Lady dressed in red) I was asking people which sounded more attractive to them, Midnight or 12am. Everyone said it's the same. Especially my oldest one. I just said I know it's the same, but which one sounds more attractive to you. It was a draw.  Some said midnight because it sounded like the middle of the night.   Others said 12 am sounded like the beginning of the day. So I guess when it comes to attracting people out at 12 am or midnight it all depends on the person and which sounds better to them. As for me I sleep through both of them. You are not getting me out of bed to buy something. There is nothing in this world I need that badly that I would do any of that kind of madness. It's just another thing telling us that we are no one unless we buy, buy, buy. Spending money in the wrong way

  It's a question I think most of us are are always asking ourselves.  But the way I see it, the way we are going about trying to change things, will not work. It has not worked so far, has it? Take the Occupy Wall Street movement. It's just turning into nothing but violence and unfortunately a waste of time and money. If you really want to change things you have to hit them where it really counts, their pocketbooks. I'm sure there are enough very over educated people involved with this movement that can come up with a better plan to change things in a way that the rest of us 99% don't look at you in disgust for your over extreme actions that unfortunately is attracting violence and crime. It's the kind of thing that can not happen over night. It's a slow process.You must have patients for real change to take place. It must be done in such a way that the top 1% do not even realize it's happening until it's to late. They are no longer the all powerful w

This past week Channel 7 has been doing stories on the cold case of Jean Viken.I did see one of them. In it the police said they know who did it but they are waiting for someone to come forward. But no matter what four young children will be without their mother for the rest of their lives because someone decided to end her life out of the meanness of their heart. You ever have one of those days where your not sure if someone is doing or treating you in a way that makes you unsure if they are doing it out of being dense or if they are just doing it out the meanness of their heart? That is how some of my week felt. Well, OK just one day. At least this week. But I did get over it. One of my rules is to that when something is bothering me is to let me whine or vent for the rest of the day because tomorrow I'll be a whole lot calmer. It works for me. I do put up with allot of unfairness from people I know do it out of the meanness of their heart. I roll with the punches so to speak. Because some of these people do things to see how riled up they can get you. They push you till you finally have a melt down. People are always wondering will it ever end? I'm sorry to say it will not. All we can do is keep on defending ourselves the best way we can. Hopefully without really hurting each other or ourselves.  Over the years I have figured out th

  There are so many things out there that are a waste of time and money.  One thing I was thinking of is this Occupy Wall Street movement.  It was a good idea at first and it could have been but now the people who become over passionate about things and become violent are going to ruin it.  One step they have taken with getting people to take their money out of big banks and putting them in credit unions is a good start. Dealing with a bank has become so impersonal they want you to only deal with a computer.  When I was talking to someone the other day about this they said they thought most bankers are con artists. Finding ways to con people out of their money in the most uncaring ways. More for them, less for the average hard working person. It is more then just big banks that are trying to control things, it's corporations that are so big they no longer think of their employees as people but almost like slaves. But I say that without the average person they would not even exist.

  Well the good news to the world is this bad guy has come to end. Bad news for him though. The question is what is next for Libya. I hope more good things are to come for them. Hoping that they find the right kind of leadership that will bring happiness, harmony, and peace to the whole country. Bad news for Harold Camping, we are all still here.   Well the first thing I'm going to ponder is that horrible shooting in California.  I hate it when I hear about things like this. The man was was having an issue with his ex wife over their  young son. Explain to me how going to the place your wife works killing her and all those other people is going to win your son. All it's going to get you is a son who has no parents and will be raised by someone else.You will never have a hand in anything that he will need guiding through  for the rest of his life. Never be able to read him a story, play ball, help him mend a a boo boo or help him mend a broken a heart. He will have to go through life with the stigma of what you did to his mother because of twisted selfish reasons. Face it you were not really thinking about his future only your own disappointment in yourself for not getting your way. Going after someone like that because in your mind you are going to teach them a final  lesson will only blow up in your face and send you t

I'm just a small town country girl far from all the people who are protesting at places like Wall Street. I see all of their points about doing what they are doing it. I'm just as upset about the way big corporations and big banks rule this country and dictate how our lives go financially. It's just not right. The whole world is suffering under this kind of rule. It does not matter where you live. Do I think protesting like this is going to work? Nope. Why you ask? Because I think the big wigs just look at this down from their self appointed thrones and giggle to themselves thinking,"Oh, they are so cute marching around holding their little signs thinking they can change things. It's just entertainment to us. We are the gods and rulers of this world not the slaves."  That's right I said slaves. While sitting here at the computer trying to figure out what to do, I think I've come up with an idea to get myself posting something more often.  Ten words. The idea is for me to post ten words a day, hopefully. It might also give me something else to think about or focus on during the day rather then the same old same old. If your wondering what the ten words will be, it could be different each time.  What I mean is sometimes it could be ten random words that I write down during the day. Sometimes it could a sentence. Maybe even a short story. Or even a random quote from a book. Or a newspaper. There could be a possibility after the ten words I could write more about it. I want to try also to find a picture to go with the ten words. So here are my first ten words for the day. 

Last night I was watching  the pix news and they had a story on there that caught my eye. I'm not sure exactly where it is. I was trying to find the story on line but I'm not sure I found the exact one.  I did find a few similar stories about the same thing. The story was about some village women who wanted to trade their goods with a near by village. But with the road between the villages being very dangerous because the men folk were always battling with the men folk the other village it was next to impossible to trade goods.  So the women came up with a plan to withhold sex until the men stop fighting. It worked. The men stopped fighting and the road became safe again and the economies of both villages improved. I think this a great idea. Most wars are fought because of men being overly macho.  I asked a few people at work if they have ever withheld sex till they got their way. The answers were about as expected from some. Some said no they never had. Some said you bet I h

I've been trying to think of something to ponder lately and for some reason nothing new is really coming to me. I could ponder some of the same old same old but, I'm getting tired of doing what so many others are doing.  I just want to see how many people out there are interested in anything I write. So I'm going to think about a few different topics and see if anyone wants to read about my pondering. Here is a list of things I could ponder: The latest news of whatever. Earthy news(Mother Nature doing what Mother Nature does). Silly stories. My chicken with bad timing at hatching out three baby chicks last week.( Fall is creeping up on us here. Highs in sixties) My basket full of letters written to my Grandfather starting in about 1919 to the early 1930's. Old pictures from about the same time which I'm not sure who any of these people are.  Random pictures of the world around me. Maybe I could write about books I've read. Or story ideas that keep

This about sums things up.  I have been pondering how we got where we are when it comes to the lack of jobs. I do have a few points of view of how it happened. Want to read them? Well here they are: One, is to much technology.  When you look at factories that use to have allot of workers but now don't, it's because they have robots or more automation doing most of the work.They only look at the less workers they have the more profit they will get. But the price of their product does not go down it keeps going up. The result of this kind of thing is finally starting to kick not only the average worker in the butt, but is kicking the whole world economy in the butt. Less people actually doing the jobs mean more people not be able to buy things. Two, I guess should go along with number one in away. Expecting fewer people to do the jobs. While I'm sitting here in Wisconsin watching the news about the after effect of Irene I'm kind of glad I live where I do and experiencing the kind of weather that we have right now. But I keep thinking about all those people who have to deal with what Irene did to them. Wisconsin has had a fair share of dealing with Mother Nature and feeling it's unfair or wrong. This year we have had a very wet summer. Not right now but earlier. Right now I think things might be heading into fall. We just might be getting thrown into fall sooner then we want to. The husband has noted that he has not seen a Robin for awhile. Which I can't remember when was the last time I've seen one myself. Usually they are here until maybe into September, I think. Does this mean we will be drop kicked into winter before we know it? Lots or snow or really cold temps or both? I don't know if I'm ready for that. Well, the East Coast was hit by a 5.8 earthquake.  But Colorado was also hit by a 5.2 earthquake. And Peru was hit by a 7.0 earthquake. These are just the biggest one that you hear about. I wonder who will next? I was wondering if this is normal activity. Well, it is. Earthquakes are happening all the time. Most you don't feel. Japan had a 6.3 one on the 19th. Point Mackezie, AK had a 1.5 today and Pinnacles  Cal Had a 1.9 today also. And yesterday there were 116 quakes ranging from 1.0 to 4.2. And that is just in the US alone. Now that is a whole lot of shaking. But now I guess most of the news attention will now turn to the hurricane. I wonder where that one will hit? All I know is, it's not here. Although, Mother Nature has been stirring things up around here in different ways. Like yesterday we had wind and about an inch of rain in a very short amount of time. How did we become such a bitter, dangerous world? Knowing that a seventeen year old was able to plan out a horrendous act of causing major destruction at his former school and almost being able to put his plan into action by himself, is very scary. We have created a world where we can't trust anyone. Everyone is the boogie man.  I for one am very tired of living my life surrounded by nothing but negativity. I want to change. But how?  When the people around you can think of nothing but negative thoughts. Telling you only bad will happen. Coming to conclusions that only think of bad results or reasons. I want to think about harmony with everything around me. People, animals, the true beauty of the world around us.  Will it ever happen? Thanks  to all the dumb games politicians have been playing we are all going to be paying big time for a long, long time. I kind of get a feeling the big change that is coming is not only because of the changes the planet is going through but will be be made a whole lot worse because of the games our so called leaders have been playing.  Not just the US, but all countries are being manipulated by greedy, over controlling leaders. All great empires eventually come to end. Our time is just around the corner. If I was asked on how to help fix the budget I would make a couple of suggestions to start with. One, I would have all national guard troops come home right now.  As far as I know right now the definition for national guard is to defend OUR homeland, not the land of another country. And to be here when the military is not on our land. Second, would be to stop playing world police. No matter what the leaders reasoning is in interfering in other countries issues we are only making ma
