Newt Gingrich and the moon

Image
This is what Newt Gingrich would like to build on the moon by the end of his 2nd term in office. Me thinks the man is a little bit over confident that he's a shoe in. Either that or he knows he has a snowballs chance in hell of winning so he just threw that out there as a distraction. Well anyway I was talking to some  friends of mine from a neighboring planet and they sent me this picture of how they feel about this idea.    They are apparently worried that they would be next on the list to be settled by the earthlings.   I just told them I really don't think they have to worry about it. He's just a politician. They're all talk. Especially at election time. They will say anything to anyone to make them think they will change things when in fact little or nothing ever changes for the better for us regular folk.  They were very happy when I told them this.   That's it for now. Till next time, keep on pondering the pondering possibilities.

Redneck shows

Last night I decided to check out a couple of new shows on CMT. The first one was Bayou  Billionaires. I guess you can think of the show Beverly Hillbillies without them moving to Beverly Hills. They are Gerald and Kitten Dowden. Last night the mother thought they could check out a country club. In that idea think Caddy Shack. At the end they decided the country club scene was not for them. In their family they have four kids, two daughters and two sons. Valerie is raising three kids on her own in a trailer house on the property. To me she is more then likely a force to be reckoned with. She knows what she wants but I'm not sure she will ever get it. Chantel is not married at this time but she does have a daughter and a boyfriend of seven years. She is most proud of her new teeth and is always smiling. She's suppose to be the timid one. Then there is Gerald Jr. who is a professional ATV racer. He is the only one who does not live on their compound with his wife and kids. T

Words we are tired of hearing

Image
I was recently asking people what word or words are they tired of hearing when they are talking to someone. When I asked my nephew he refers to them as filler words( he's a teacher). So I guess you call them filler words. We all know what they are so here is the list I got. Um. Ya know. Really. Seriously. The f  bomb. (Personally I really hate this one especially when the person can't seam to say one sentence without it.) God. Like. Well. Anyway. Maybe. But. Most people when I asked them could not think of one at first. But when I said some of the words from the list they usually picked one or still said there wasn't one. Most people I guess don't really think about what they are hearing or even how they are saying things. Which tells me people don't really listen to what is being said. Our brains kind of block out what we don't want to hear or point out. What am I most guilty of saying? Well..um...like..I don't know..maybe..ya know...anyw

Red solo cup

I don't know about you but if you've ever heard the song Red Solo Cup by Toby Keith, you know how easy it is to get it stuck in your heard. Just writing about it I run the risk of it getting trapped for longer then I want, which happened on Thursday.  It was the first song I heard when I turned on the radio in the car that day. It was the end of the song so I did not turn the station, I usually listen to the news on the way to work on the local radio station.  So needless to say that song was trapped in my head for over half the day. Between trying to get it out of my head and running around doing my job I had a good headache. When I say run around doing my job I mean my job is walking back and forth for 8 hours doing paper work for a number of different lines. On my feet only sitting down for a 10 minute break and a 15 minute lunch break or going to bathroom, that's it. Because of all the noise there is nothing to listen to but allot of noisy equipment( that's why we

HELLO 2012

Image
The beginning of a new year. I just wonder what kind of surprises it has in store for me and the world. I'm really looking forward to it. But I know there will be a few bumps along the way. And a number of annoying things. Like putting up with the mud fights the politicians will be having. Don't you wish they could stop picking on each other and prove exactly how they can do the right things for the country. Another annoying thing is the constant whining of people who just want someone else to take care of their problems. Like my Dad always told me growing up: "You got yourself into the mess you get yourself out." And you know that Mother nature will continue to be a whole lot more active in her destruction then we like to see. My youngest one says that she thinks Mother Nature is by-polar. I say she is going through the change, like me. No matter what happens this year I'm going to continue to be a more a positive person to those around me. Look at th
