Another Project finished plus a ponder

Well I have another project done.


It's another coaster set. 
Well it will be awhile before I can post any new projects. Why you ask? I'll tell you why.
I've got to make three of the fish coaster sets. You know I made it before I decided to start the task of doing everything in the book you see on the side. That's what happens when I take pictures of something I make and others think they are very nice and want one for themselves. So before I continue with the next one in the book I have to finish the ones that have been ordered. In case you don't remember the fish here is a picture of what it looks like.
One of the sets might take a little longer because she wants the fish to look like walleyes. It will take a while to get it just right. I'll take a picture of it when I get that one finished.

As for the rest of my humdrum life, it's very humdrum. Nothing interesting is happening. Well it has been very cold here. Yesterday it was below zero the whole day. It's a good thing I'm off of work till after Christmas. But it also makes it more uneventful. If it was summer you could hear the crickets about now.

As for a ponder, I could ponder about charging a 6 year old with sexual harassment. Really? This is becoming a very whinny  paranoid world we are creating for future generations.
 
I know what we should do to make sure young children do not touch each other.
   
Put them in a bubble just like The Bubble Boy. This way they can't invade each others personal space. 
The perfect world for all the germaphobe's out there. No personal contact means perfect health, right?

The kid does not even know what sexual harassment means. He has a crush. There are better ways of handling this kind of thing with a first grader don't you think.

Well that's my ponder for now.

Jean Viken Cold Case

When I first started this blog one of the first things I wrote about was the murder of a local woman. She disappeared Jan 29th 2008 on one of the coldest days of that month. Her body was found I think in May of that year. She had been shot. Her van was found not long after she went missing up north. Well here it is 2 years later and nothing has happened to try and find the person or persons responsible for her death. Why? I'm sure the whoever was responsible was really not that smart. Jean Viken update and other local things.

This past week Channel 7 has been doing stories on the cold case of Jean Viken.I did see one of them. In it the police said they know who did it but they are waiting for someone to come forward. But no matter what four young children will be without their mother for the rest of their lives because someone decided to end her life out of the meanness of their heart. Here is the story I found on the internet: Jean Viken's friends and family remember her as a loving mother of four young kids, a devoted daughter and sister. But nearly four years after her murder, a dark cloud hangs over Jean's memory, as they continue to search for answers. Pondering Japan's Earthquake

The earthquake in Japan is just another wake up call for us. It is so far the largest disaster we are dealing with right now. And with all those nuclear power plants having problems there, it will get a whole lot worse.  The earth is talking to us. Telling us the big change is upon us. Instead of fighting wars in other countries we should be preparing our people for this big change that will change our home, planet Earth, in a way that will make life allot more difficult to survive.  Japan had prepared for this kind of event to a point, but this kind of event to this degree is never fool proof.  My heart does go out to all those who are living through this right now.  I will give one prediction for the near future that some might say makes me sound like a crack pot but it is always a possibility.  Here it is: With all the things happening right now natural disasters and political unrest big changes are inevitable.
