Family Update

I meant to write something this weekend but it was a little busy and unsure. The unsure part was my father-in-law. I said once before how bad he was, well he past away yesterday. I'm glad he is finally at peace. I think the funeral will be Thursday but I'm not positive right now. I just hope everyone behaves themselves and they don't do anything to draw too much attention to themselves. But we'll see.
The other thing that kept me busy this weekend is that my oldest one and I went to the Packer game as volunteers. We were servers in the enclosed seating area. We did a lot of running, delivering drinks to people, so we didn't see allot of the game but I enjoyed the view from up there and it was a warmer then being out in the cold.

That is really all I have to say for today. I plan to try to post again hopefully later this week again. But we'll see how that goes.
I will say that this next Saturday ( Beginning of gun hunting season around here for deer) my oldest one and I will be going to Green Bay again. It's called Football 101 for Women only. This will be the third time we are going. We will be able to meet some of the Packers and run drills with them. Each year is a little different but always allot of fun.

Jean Viken Cold Case

When I first started this blog one of the first things I wrote about was the murder of a local woman. She disappeared Jan 29th 2008 on one of the coldest days of that month. Her body was found I think in May of that year. She had been shot. Her van was found not long after she went missing up north. She was the mother of 4 young children and was going through a divorce at the time. Well here it is 2 years later and nothing has happened to try and find the person or persons responsible for her death. Why? I'm sure the whoever was responsible was really not that smart. It's as if the no one wants to get to the bottom of what really happened to her. Maybe she was not important enough. Maybe she was not connected to the right people.  I wonder what it would take to get more exposure to this cold case. Jean Viken update and other local things.

This past week Channel 7 has been doing stories on the cold case of Jean Viken.I did see one of them. In it the police said they know who did it but they are waiting for someone to come forward. But no matter what four young children will be without their mother for the rest of their lives because someone decided to end her life out of the meanness of their heart. Here is the story I found on the internet: Jean Viken's friends and family remember her as a loving mother of four young kids, a devoted daughter and sister. But nearly four years after her murder, a dark cloud hangs over Jean's memory, as they continue to search for answers. Pondering Japan's Earthquake

The earthquake in Japan is just another wake up call for us. It is so far the largest disaster we are dealing with right now. And with all those nuclear power plants having problems there, it will get a whole lot worse.  The earth is talking to us. Telling us the big change is upon us. Instead of fighting wars in other countries we should be preparing our people for this big change that will change our home, planet Earth, in a way that will make life allot more difficult to survive.  Japan had prepared for this kind of event to a point, but this kind of event to this degree is never fool proof.  My heart does go out to all those who are living through this right now.  I will give one prediction for the near future that some might say makes me sound like a crack pot but it is always a possibility.  Here it is: With all the things happening right now natural disasters and political unrest big changes are inevitable.
