Remember the Heroes

I was thinking and I'm sure a lot of other people are saying it too. We should remember the people who did heroic things in the middle of a dangerous event and never mention the offender by name or show their picture.
This last idiot who ended innocents peoples lives imagined he could go down in history with everyone knowing his name. There is nothing I hate worse then people who think that doing a horrible act of violence will let the very mention of their name bring back their awful deed and never be forgotten.
I think the media should all adopt the policy that the name and picture of the idiot not be said over and over again. They should only be refereed to as the "Shooter" or "The one who shall be forever unnamed". The act of what they did will be mentioned but their name and picture will be forever forgotten. Only the name and pictures of the heroes will be prominent.

Like Chris Mintz.
His name should be forever remembered. But we should let him live his life as before. Because getting to much attention is very life altering. Just let him be his normal self.
The memories will always be there for all.
The lives that were lost should always be remembered.

They are more important then the twisted shooter could ever have imagined would happen.

The question that needs to be pondered is why this is happening more and more often?
In my opinion it is because of things like social media and violent video games.
I know your saying how dare I say that. But  it seams like these kind of shootings started happening more often when things like social media became the thing. People go on places like Facebook and try to convince
the whole world how much fun and interesting their lives are. But you have to understand those are things they want you to believe. Their lives are really not that exciting and they are not that happy all the time. They are pictures and comments made to make others believe they are that popular and interesting.
People that have good lives do not spend their time worrying about how many others are paying attention to them. I like to be low keyed myself. Sure I like attention to a point. But it's a lot of work to maintain.
True friends don't need a computer or phone to feel good about a relationship.
And those violent video games. I have never been a fan of them. When young people are brought up on them it's not a good thing. I'm not saying all young people. There are some that should not have them because they have a hard time realizing the difference between the real world results and a video games results. In reality the chance a person you shot in the head will be able to get up again and continue living is very slim. And if you die in the real world that is the end. There is no do over or starting over.
Living in this world now is getting harder and harder by the day. Technology is certainly making it hard to live a good live. The world is to interconnected.
I like to ponder what life would be like if there was no social media or video games or cell phones like when I was growing up. Life was so much simpler.Your circle of friends was smaller and they were your close friend not the superficial kind.
And selfies were not what we felt we had to do every time you turned around. And taking pictures of your food before you ate it, who cared. It was a sign you just want attention in anyway possible.
Well I think I've given you enough to think about.
Till next time.
Keep on pondering the pondering possibilities.
