September 1

I know it's been a month but I am still here.
Here is the first of the month picture of the swing.
I the weeds look like they are flatter then they were last month. The grass is still very green for this time of year because we have been getting a lot more rain then we usually get. At least it's not cold, yet.
The husband is trying to figure out exactly what kind of winter we will have this year. A lot of snow or not. Cold or mild. He has a few methods he goes by but this year he is not guessing. So I guess time will tell what Mother Nature has in store for us this year.

My second batch of gnomes have been done for awhile and I remembered to take a picture of them.
They look better then they did.

I have one more plastic canvas project done.
A welcome sign to hang on the door.

I suppose your wondering what else I've up to. Well not to much. My youngest one thinks I should ponder things that are not so depressing. She is right. Right now I'm starting to limit the amount of news I watch on TV. It is very depressing. They do have a habit of focusing on somethings longer they should. They like to beat a dead horse to death so to speak. But hearing the same things over and over and over and over and over again kind of makes you numb to so many things. You expect that everything and everyone are only thinking of doing bad things to one another. The whole world is evil.
But I for one am tired of only looking at people and thinking they are only thinking bad thoughts of me and want to harm me. I want to find a way to encourage others to be kind to others and others will return the kindness. Kind of like paying if forward kind of things. I like to do things small. But so many people that do good things expect fame from it. Fame is not all it's cracked up to be. I like to fly just under the radar doing something and then walk away knowing I did something good for someone. Even it is just telling them to have a nice day or asking them how their day has been. So many times when I am checking out at a store and they say have a nice day I usually say "You too" they seam surprised to hear it. But that is one thing in today's world no one does the small pleasant things for each other any more.
Common respect is something people are forgetting how to do.
As young children they are taught everyone only wants to bad things to them making kids afraid to be around people they don't know.
Then so many people use electronic things to look after their kids or to use it to talk to each other so that they don't know how to really talk to one another face to face.
Then there are so many kids that are always given everything they want without really understanding what it took to get it. When they are suppose to be on their own they can't do it because all their life things have been handed to them. Physically working for something they want is a foreign concept.
That about sums up what is wrong with so much of the world today.
Well that and the middle east people slowly trying to eliminate each other in ways that it is piling on a whole lot of bad karma. They will either pay for it in this life time of in the next. I'm betting in the next. I just hope I'm not where they are when that happens. It's going to be messy, messy, messy.

I will tell you another excuse I have for not posting here. I'm working on my other blog twice a week.
So if you want you can check out Dear Howard, a Fading History. Now that one I've got on a schedule. Every Tuesday and Friday I put a post out. If you want to look at history from an average persons point of view or just to see how they wrote to each other in the 1920's check it out.

Well that's it for now.
Till next time.
Keep on pondering the pondering possibilities.
